I Am a New Creation In Christ

I am a new creation in Christ

I am a new creation in Christ

Maybe we need to say it till we believe it. Sadly, sometimes we don’t believe we are worth anything. The circumstances in our lives can cause us to believe I am unworthy of love. Especially God’s love. We have a tendency to believe the lies of the devil. Or maybe we compare ourselves with each other. I’m not as pretty, handsome, smart, rich, just not as good as others. My teeth are not straight, I am too skinny, I am too fat, on and on and on. We could go on forever but we won’t. You know better than I what you feel about yourself. Do you deserve love? Are you ugly? What did you do to deserve such a hard life?...

Let me tell you something. You are who you are meant to be. No mistakes on God’s part. He does not make mistakes. His love is unconditional. Nothing you could do could make God love you more or less. You are who He wanted you to be when He made you.

You see He saw you before you were born. He formed you in your mother’s womb. He knew who you would be because He made you who you are. Your smell, your looks, your personality, your laugh, your cry, he made all of that and He made your heart too.

I like the way the Message Bible says it

Look at Psalm 139:13-16

Of David

13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
      you formed me in my mother's womb.
   I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
      Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
      I worship in adoration—what a creation!
   You know me inside and out,
      you know every bone in my body;
   You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
      how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
   Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
      all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
   The days of my life all prepared
      before I'd even lived one day.

You see, that we have a plan, God had made you with a plan and a purpose in mind, a job for you to do in this life. Unfortunately, the devil has a plan too. He does not want you to be what God wants you to be. He must make sure that God’s plan fails. One way over the years the devil has taken over in so many areas is to make us question God. Is there really a God? Can He do what the Bible says? If we don’t believe in God or His powers or His plan for us, the devil has it made and there he sits with a big smile on his face because he has just caused us to believe a lie. We do the rest. We make our own lives miserable. The devil just plants a seed and we take it and water it and it grows. We begin to question God. Well how could He do this and do that? Or how could He let this happen to me? We begin to blame God when we are the ones that made the decision in the first place. What we really need to ask ourselves is, is this what God wanted for me or is it what I wanted for me.  In the process we never really know what God’s plan was for us. We have our own ideas and we get impatient and make decisions without God involved and we get off the path of the plan. Who knows where we end up? Unhappy maybe?

 Jesus loves you, just the way you are. Now He may not be happy with what you are doing in your life, but that we can change.

Because of Adam and Eve we are born into a sin nature. We are constantly trying to please the flesh. Our fleshly desires as opposed to our Spiritual Desires. Sin lives in each one of us. Oh news flash, yes every one of us. We all are sinners.

Romans 3:23 (New International Version)

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

You see when we compare ourselves with each other, we are the same. We all sin. The difference is do we repent. You might say yes I repent all the time. How many times will Jesus forgive me?

Jesus will forgive you as many times as you ask Him to. His love is never ending and His mercy indures forever

Psalm 103 (New International Version)

Of David.

 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul;
       all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul,
       and forget not all his benefits-

 3 who forgives all your sins
       and heals all your diseases,

 4 who redeems your life from the pit
       and crowns you with love and compassion,

Or how about this Scripture;

1 John 1:9 (New International Version)

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

So every time we need to repent, then repent, know that Jesus died so you could repent and receive forgiveness over and over and over.

OK so now we know that we are loved by God so much so that He sent us His only Son to die for our sins so that we can repent and be forgiven over and over. We know that when we were born God had a specific plan in mind. He created us with whatever we need to carry out that plan. So if you are thinking “I can’t”, remember God made you for that reason, He would give you all that you need to carry out His plan.

When we accept Jesus into our lives we are really accepting god plan in our lives. We are born again. A New Creation, with a plan made by God Himself. Remember He does not give you something to do or to be without giving you all that you need. But you have to believe it. You have to try. You have to spend time learning about Jesus, how He is and what he wants form us. It is not too much to ask after all, He gave his life for us.

John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

In the Amplified Bible it says that to believe in means to trust in, cling to, and rely on.

I most likely sound like a broken record but we must have a personal relationship with Jesus before we can reap any benefit of His power or blessings.

The blessings will pour forth if you will seek Him with all your heart. Keep your eyes on Him and He will guide your path.

Lets pray,

Jesus, we come before You today and ask you to bring the plan You had when You made me to completion. We ask You use us in any way that You want to. Help us to trust in , cling to and rely on You the rest of our lives. We love You Lord and want to be what you planned for us in the first place. We turn ourselves over to You. We surrender our lives to You. In Jesus Name, Amen
