And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:9
Trees pleasing to the eye and good for food. Unfortinatly, what we think is pleasing to the eye is not always good for us. If we continue to eat what looks good instead of what we need we will not survive. Food is what we consume. What we put into our mouths and what keeps us alive. It makes every part of our body function correctly.
The tree of life provides the food we should consume that is good for us. The fruit of that tree is the fruit of the spirit.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control.
When we venture off that diet we get fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Can I tell you, that is not the tree you want to eat from. The only way you can know the fruit is to have tasted it first hand. Once you have eaten that fruit you can't just say oops, I don't like that anymore. There is always a consequence from what we do wheather it's good or not good.
The word of God is the good fruit We want to eat as much of that fruit as we can. The consequences are fantastic. Believe me I have eaten of both trees and the Tree of Life is the way to go.
Above left are some pieces of fruit;
(Bible Study)
And let me say one more thing, I have written these Bible Studies keeping in mind that we all have busy lives. So I have kept them short so we have time to do one a day. But do one and then apply it. Get it in your spirit. Know it in you knower. So if you can't do one a day that is fine, just practice what you do learn and when you get that go to the next. I pray God will bless you with understanding.
